Four-Star Recruit
last year the team was split pro bill pro frank.

all the pro frank players left and this team is playing

like a team.now the fans are still pro bill pro frank.

what will it take for all the fans to cheer for this team

and not rip every little thing. we are 4-0.

bill bellicick said it isn't how many yards you give

up its how many you score and how many points you

give up.this coach won 3 rings with the pats and 2

with the giants.we are 4-0 because we have scored

more than the other team.nothing more.points for

points against.

Im going to weigh in my two cents here for the last time on this over played debate. I am tired of defending Callahan, or defending Pederson, or whatever. Here is unequivical, undeniable truth. We are 4-0, whether we deserve that record or not is debatable, but the record itself is not. Callahan may or may not be the man for the job. That is also debateable, but let me give you something that isnt. Whether you believe he is or not, every single fricker husker in the land hopes and prays that he is, even if they think that he isnt, and that is enough for me. I dont care if we win every damn game in the last couple of minutes, or whatever. I just hope that we do win, and continue to be the classy program that we have always been, and that aspect has not seem to have diminished. Some are willing to throw Callahan and Pederson under the bus at this very moment, and some are willing to worship them as the savior of the Nebraska program. Neither of these are probably a wise course of action, but I know this much, whether you support Callahan or not, or agree with him or not, I know that you all support husker football regardless of who the coach is, and that Callahan, regardless of how, when, or why, is 4-0, just won the first conference game of the year, beat a ranked team, set a record for passing yards in a game, and showed signs of improvement, and frankly, pardon the pun, the continuation of that, and not what some unknowing fans on a message board, is what is most important. Lets give credit to Bill piling up over four hundred yards passing against the tenth best pass defense in the country and pulling out the victory, before we start talking about how it could have been better. Instead lets talk about how he can make it better for Texas Tech, because they deserve a real big whoopin as far as I am concerned.

yeah, especially after they whooped up on the poor pityful Jayhawks. I'm ready to stuff it right down the Red Raider's throats!

I don't know. If he keeps this up, though, he will be out of LSU next year. Not saying he is doing awful (well, his defense let Tenn back into that game like they were the Pats), but would it be a year of college football in the past 3 years if Bo didn't move teams?

There is a reason he isn't a head coach now.

i'm gonna keep this short...

Granted, a win is a win, but there's gonna be a time when that might not be enough. We might have stellar seasons, but when it comes to winning "the big game", he falters. I personally don't think Callahan can win the big game. He's shown in the past where he's done his personal impersonation of the Hindenberg, and for the sake of the team, I hope that changes, but something tells me that it won't.

He needs to learn when to run the ball. That's how you win football games. When it's 3rd and short, and there's less than 2 minutes to go, and you punch it through on the ground. Not calling a short pass, which everyone will come to expect sooner than later. Running the ball is a staple of championship football. For those of you old enough, all the really solid football teams, have almost always had a solid RB.

We have one, but he's not getting a chance to get outta the gate.

There is gonna be a time where I will get to see a replay of the Raider/Buc Superbowl, only instead of Silver and Black, the team getting schooled, may be wearing Red...

Ok, so I lied about keeping it short...

In '67 and '68 there was a movement afoot to get rid of Devaney because he couldn't "win the big one".

Off and on the the '70s, and '80s and early '90s Dr. Tom couldn't "win the big one" and he contemplated leaving a couple of times.

Both those coaches turned out to have pretty good careers at NU (LOL)...okay they ended up in the HOF and if there was a Mount Rushmore of NU football they would be there.

Supported Frank when he was coach and would have supported Bo.

Callahan came in and completely changed the offensive philosophy and has been coach for only 15 games...4-0 this year...I like what I see from this years team as they are playing hard and with a lot of heart.

I have been going to games since 1957 and have two degrees from NU and will support the team and the coach until the day I day.

Remember...

"There is no place like Nebraska,

Where they're all true blue.

We'll all stick together,

In all kinds of weather,

For dear old Nebraska U!"

GBR
