Stop the Tim Tebow Love-fest!

In a sport that has given us Mike Vick, Donte Stalworth, Terrell Owens, Chad Eight-Five, ect., ect. ...I some how don't mind Tim Tebow. He occasionally gets a little preachy but I'll take that over dog fighting, DUI-manslauter and run away head cases any day.

if he's gonna pick a relgion choose one that doesn't make subserviant twits, choose one that makes a person a man.

There's nothing wrong with Tebow. He's a decent enough quarterback who has values and probably a mediocre NFL career. He can't help the attention he gets. It's not his problem.

It's ESPNs problem. Over the past few years when I really started tuning into the national media for football-related stuff, I've noticed that ESPN is pretty much a joke. They've got their flash in the pan team and nothing else. Their commentary is usually something the dumbest member of this board could have figured out, that is until they get stuck on something like Tebow. Watching Corso, Herbstriet and the gang indulge in their Tebow fetish for the past year has been despicable. Would that it were only them. I think sports broadcasting reached a new low when that slathering moron made his "your life will be better for having spent ten minutes with Tim Tebow." That kind of bleating idiocy should be reserved for Scientologists and North Koreans.

Again, nothing Tebow could do about it. He's a victim of a big tent media circus. It's going to be a nuclear holocaust for ESPN if he blows his ACL. They'll probably try to run stories about how Tim Tebow cured the healthcare system simply by rehabbing at a Hospital in Gainseville.

I'd rather not hear about any of it and just watch some f@cking football!!

I'm just getting tired of him and his hype the same way I was tired of Tyler Hansbrough for North Carolina. It's like no one else has ever played the position with these two and the media. Now I hear talk of greatest of all time for Tebow. Really? not even greatest QB ever, great CFB player ever? I mean what he has accomplished is great, but lets not act like the Florida Defense didn't have 2 Red Zone interception that prevented scores. He is an efficient quarterback surrounded by talented players. How talented is his team? He could be 5th or 6th player drafted on his own team in April.
