Streaming TV advice

I received an email from YouTubeTV stating that they will be issuing a $20 credit to my account due to the greedy mouse company. Might keep an eye out for that if any of youse guys have the same service

I claimed my $20 from them this morning. I hope they get it worked out soon. I'd hate to have to change services.

ESPN/Disney want everyone to drop YoutubeTV and switch to either Hulu Live TV or FuboTV which Disney owns both. I would switch to FuboTV if they had the Turner channels but they don't so I will hold out until they ultimately make a deal with YouTubeTV. Unfortunately it will mean another price increase for us again.

I'm not really sure that's their game plan. There was a pretty interesting article about it over the weekend. Basically, it amounts to if they're on YouTube TV, they get the payment from everyone who subscribes to that service, whether they watch ESPN networks or not. Plus they get the advertising dollars. If they're not on YouTube TV (or whichever service you want to throw out there) and only the people who want to watch ESPN subscribe directly, that's a much smaller pool.

But everyone like to make the claim that they're trying to get everyone to switch because that's the fun headline to put out there.
