Suh's $2.6 million donation

carlfense

Heisman Trophy Winner
I did an informal survey because I was curious what other people thought. The results were surprising.

Missouri Fans: They like Suh. A few think he was a dirty player but most think it was a classy gesture by a classy guy.

Colorado Fans: See above. Most seemed impressed and wished CU had NFL players who would give back to the program.

KSU Fans: None found.

Kansas Fans: (My favorite.) The Nebraska athletic department is in serious financial trouble because of Carl Pelini's alleged dalliances. The booster husband and the woman's father were both major boosters. Suh's donation will not even begin to cover the loss . . . and NU athletics will face serious financial problems.

Iowa State Fans: (My second favorite.) Suh is just repaying the university for all of the money they spent covering up his drunk driving accidents. Also, one poster commented that Suh's donation pushed NU over the line from "almost ridiculously overfunded" well into "ridiculously overfunded" territory.

Texas Fans: Classy move. Should have won the Heisman.

Oklahoma Fans: McCoy is still better.

Anyways, feel free to add to this. I just googled "Suh 2.6 million" and most message boards had a thread about it.

i work with quite a few missouri 'fans' who say this. by "dirty," they mean "beat missouri straight-up like drug narcs at a biker rally".

Yeah. A large number of them think that Suh intended to break Gabbert's ankle. They claim it was a dirty play. It looked to me like tackle football. You'll have to excuse them though . . . Missouri fans aren't exactly familiar with this thing called "defense."

nice.

also, that injury really did not look that bad. just a strain or sprain. i'm not saying he was a wimp or it wasn't worse than it looked, but SUH obviously was not trying to hurt him.

Often times when I ask Missouri fans who say Suh is dirty what they are smoking they refer to the "alleged" (and by alleged I mean completely made up) spitting incident that Chase Daniel whined about.

Yeah. I've heard that as well. That reminds me . . . I despise Chase Daniel.

It just go to show that Mizzou players and fans couldnt handle the success they had in 2008, especially after they played us in 2008. I thoroughly enjoyed having them fall flat on their faces after the game in 08. Getting beat by OSU, then smashed by Texas. I always will hate mizzou deep in my heart, because of the 07 and 08 games. They way their players and fans acted was absolutely classless.

By the Way.... I was spit on by a Mizzou fan after the 08 game.

are you sure it wasn't SUH, he has a reputation for doing that sort of thing.

Ha! The great 08 spitting debacle...good times

Suh talked about his $2.6 million donation to Nebraska. He said that part of it will go to the Cornhuskers' weight room. It will be called the "Ndamukong Suh Strength and Conditioning Complex."

Link

I think he should just call it "The House of Spears." :)

Unless Suh jump into some 22 year old 200 lb guy running around screaming "35 years," But I really dont think it was him.

Besides if SUH were to spit, it would some flames behind it,
