What an incredible game. What an incredible year for championship games. Just about every major sport had an outstanding title game outside of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals.
Heading into overtime, I felt NE had the best chance of winning because so much of the momentum had swung their way, and I believed Atlanta's greatest chance at winning was one of the few things completely out of their control - the coin flip. It's disappointing the NFL has those kind of rules in place but the Patriots did what they had to do. And if you're a Falcon today, there were dozens of opportunities given to you last night to not put the game in the hands of a coin and Tom Brady, and you let many of those opportunities slip away.
I ended up pulling harder for the Patriots by about midway through the 4th quarter simply because of how improbable the comeback would be and because I selfishly wanted overtime. I'll also never forget sitting there, watching that Edelman catch and then looking over at one of my good friends in just awe.
