Superstitions

I was just wondering if any of y'all have anything superstitious that you do or don't do to avoid jinxing the team. The first three weeks of the season I posted a prediction about the score, and yards in the Contest forum. I avoided that the week of the ISU game and the offense played much better. So I haven't gone back to that thread since. I like to think that my sacrifice of the chance to win Hboard pts. is what has the offense playing much better lately. Just wondering if anyone else is doing their part to keep the Huskers lucky. Of course by mentioning it, it will probably stop working.

Well.. every time I wear the Husker jersey NE does not play well.. (1st qt of the TT game) took it off and I thought for SURE they were gonna come back!

I think I just have to wear "nutral" clothes then they seem to play much better.

During the KSU/NE game (first game I have ever gotten to go to in Lincoln) I plan on wearing red but if they start playing bad I will change!!! :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

I realized a couple years back that i can't tell any of my friends about how good we should do this week or how i think we can beat our next opponent. Any time i do this we seem to lose. Also whenever i call someone during a game to tell them how good the huskers are playing, we seem to lose. (I called one of my friends who goes to tech, when we took the lead in that game to brag about it and well... you get the point.)

Back in the late 80's/early 90's when NU only had 2-3 games on TV per year, everytime I would try to tape one, NU would get their heads kicked in, so I stopped (until about 94/95).

Now, it seems like when I wear an NU hat, they play bad. At least it gives me something to throw :steam

i always get a slurpy on friday at lunch, usually cherry, but the one week i got a coke one neb lost vs. texas tech... lets just say, its always cherry now

there's also a restaurant around here that I go to with my brother and one of our friends every saturday before the game. It's kind of tough to do for those 11:00 games though.

:yeah

Last time I wore my jersey on gameday NU lost to the Whorns 31-7 in Fearless's last year...

I also try to move to a different chair if they start losing...or the other room and watch it on that TV...seems to help sometimes...

I wear my Broncos jersey
That's wierd, I wore orange and blue one game. It was TT last year. That's not happening again. That said, I hardly ever watch the game on Tv any more because we never do as well as we do when I listen on the radio.

While I have GAMEDAY on the TV I clean the house vaccum, dusting, windows, mirrors anything and everything then drink uptill and during the game - my girlfriend thinks I'm MENTAL but I call it keeping myself SANE on gameday.

I always wear a Nebraska T shirt, hang my flag out, (usually on Fridays), light my Big Red Christmas tree, and get ready for the game. I like to listen to the pregame show via internet! My son and I call each other several times during the game. He was a wrestler and is very superstitous. He wears his T-shirt and Blackshirt cap to work every Saturday. He's a bartender here in Ohio, and is determined to make it a Husker Nation!

When Nebraska is doing bad I always will turn the channle or go do something else. When I come back to the game then we seem to do better. When NU is playing on TV I turn the radio broadcast and televison volume up and can hear both TV and radio at the same time, only the radio is faster and I know how the next play will come out.
