Surprising SEC title game

Yep. The vaunted SEC has Mizzou in its championship game.
Yep.
Says a lot more about mizzou than it does the sec
I kinda think it says a lot about both. I think the SEC is so overrated this year and I think Mizzou has a good team.
Look at it this way deed. Mizzou jist wenr 11-1 (7-1) in what is at worst, the second best conference in cfb. Even if the SEC is "down", its still a damn good conference.
Fro, don't take this as a shot at Mizzou. I am actually pretty pumped for you guys. You beat everyone on your schedule minus one dbl OT without your QB. GREAT season. Probably the best in program history? Obvious upswing on for you, and some jealousy from me.

I am just so sick of the god damned SEC I could puke. Now I hope tOSU gets in and beats Florida State and we can then live off of the made up toughness of our conference. I mean look at Michigan, they must be a top 15 team. They played the National Champion to 2 points. Nebraska beat them. Damn. MSU is a top ten BCS team. Every team is good now in the B1G. I mean, look at that schedule those teams in the B1G have to play. They beat each other up all year, no wonder they have 4 losses. Let's put them in at #17.

You may think that sounds ridiculous, but that is how it works for SEC teams.

It also may mean that Pinkel has become a decent head coach.
The guys had 5 losing seasons. In my opinion, today just re-emphasized my thoughts that in today's college football, the line between average/good/great is pretty small. Michigan and Penn State are both average teams, but they almost and did beat two very good teams. Mizzou was terrible last year, and riddled with injuries, and now they could possibly play in the MNC if things shake their way. Pinkel very easily could have (and probably should have) been fired after a couple seasons, and look where he's at now. I really think if we stay the course with Bo, we will have our time.
Perspective is needed here. Consider that when pinkel came to Missouri, the tigers had been to 2 bowls in 18 years. So the leaseh on losing seasons would be a little longer. Firing him last year would have been short sighted and stupid.

You are right however that sometimes it's worth sticking with a coach. But sometimes when there is little to no change or growth you need to make a decision
Agreed, but I know some Mizzou fans have been playing the "not getting better, getting worse card" about every year since 04. Anyway, good luck Fro Daddy, be rooting for the Tigers in the title game.
Thanks. And I don't doubt our fans. Like you mentioned before, some said last year he should have been gone. Its easy to forget just how bad we were and just how much better we are now. Sometimes its easy to get caught up in the extras and loss sight of perspective

This

None taken deed. I know how it is. We couldn't get the respect we deserved in the big 12 and now we are given a little extra because of the sec

Missouri hasn't beat a single ranked team, A&M will be unranked tomorrow after losing, so no current team will be ranked that Missouri beat.
They've won every game that was on their schedule except for 1, a double OT game that was lost on a missed field goal to the 10th ranked team.

Really pulling for Mizzou. Out of them or Auburn I dont see them jumping tOSU. NO SEC IN TITLE GAME!

I just love how our former Big 8 brother could win that conference. That is cool.

And a&m had the Heisman winner last year. Maybe he B12 was better than we got credit for?

Someone needs to tell Mizzou that when you lose your starting QB to injury and you're transitioning to a new conference you should lose 4 games for a few years. No. Matter. What.
