Tailgate?

We're ready for the game tomorrow! We're cabbing it from our hotel with a case of beer and a cooler. Where should we go (i.e. where should I tell the cabbie to take us)? It's just the two of us, but we wouldn't mind anchoring with some locals (this is our first game). I'm thinking of leaving our hotel around 8:30 am...is that too early/too late?

On my other post I've seen the post office, Indian Reservation, and a few others I don't remember.

Maybe check out the "horseshoe" area in front of the stadium or wait until the bars open, which I think will be 9 or 10am?

 
Is that on the north end, over by the Osborne complex? We've got a a case of beer, it will probably last us until kickoff, so we might avoid the bars until post game (to continue the buzz)

 
Another good place that nobody mentions is 11th and N. It's basically a surface parking lot the covers the entire block and it's almost always full. Maybe a little out of the way of the other hot spots but it's only 2 blocks south of the Embassy and it's always hoppin. You could start there and basically walk to all the other locations if you felt like it. It's only about 10 or 15 minutes to the stadium in game day pedestrian traffic.
