Tailgater Question -- Open Container Enforcement

I imagine the community ice luge is no longer in service near the viaduct or was that a one-off for the ‘14 Miami game? That was probably my favorite tailgate and game I’ve witnessed at Memorial.

There will be people drinking literally at every parking lot.  Most will use solo cups but I have seen just about everything including bottles of jack being passed around without issue.  Like others have said, you would have to intentionally do something to create a problem to get in trouble.

Yes, and I dare say I've seen all manner of beer being held and guzzled by folks right out near the intersection by gate 2 where a lot of tickets are hawked.  Cops nearly always there and as long as everything is peaceful you won't get their attention.

As everyone has mentioned, open container laws don't really exist on Husker gamedays, and MIP laws barely exist either.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the state law on booze, which was set during covid, is still in effect and that would allow a patron to exit an establishment with their open beverage and cops can’t do anything - until someone starts actin’ a fool.
