My understanding is that the political side of this plays a much smaller role than the education side.
I think your point is not entirely wrong, but it is 100% going to get moved out of this thread because of how you're making it in the Football Forum. Agree or disagree, this is not the place or the way to have this conversation.
Except that it is. Elections have consequences, and just because certain fans are getting butthurt about the reality of their decisions biting them in the arse, that doesn't make it any less real or relevant.
We know that the move to put more power in the Regents hands and take it out of the AD's office did not sit well, and that was done to appease the Governor and Ricketts.
We know that key positions remain unfilled at the University, and the Governor and the Regents have the ability to resolve those gaps, but have consciously chosen not to because it weakens the University as a whole.
Elections have consequences.
