Except that it is. Elections have consequences, and just because certain fans are getting butthurt about the reality of their decisions biting them in the arse, that doesn't make it any less real or relevant. 

We know that the move to put more power in the Regents hands and take it out of the AD's office did not sit well, and that was done to appease the Governor and Ricketts. 

We know that key positions remain unfilled at the University, and the Governor and the Regents have the ability to resolve those gaps, but have consciously chosen not to because it weakens the University as a whole. 

Elections have consequences.

I'm not hurt. I share your opinion. I'm simply letting you know that the root cause of the situation does not suddenly negate board rules and what parts of this are and aren't appropriate in this thread.

Enough with the political commentary.  Most believe both sides of the political spectrum are a mess right now, but organizational politics is different than American politics.  You are trying to equate the two in a very immature manner.

Please share why you believe this is less about politics.  Until more is known, moving it out of this thread is inappropriate, IMO.  Unless, of course, in the future we're also going to move the stupid game day "let us pray" thread or anything else that breathes P or R into the P&R section too.   There's overlap with P&R with sports and that's okay.  Or at least it should be.  People just need to let discussions happen.

 
Hoping we don't start chopping this thread up so we don't offend someone...  I tend to disagree with some of the takes, specifically by VV, but I definitely don't mind the conversation.  I think that is part of the problem we have on both sides of politics, and many other issues.  90% of America has forgotten how to discuss things without taking a personal offense to it.

There has been zero personal offense taken, and the thread will be chopped due to very clear and not difficult rules, not because we've "forgotten how to discuss things".

Truth.. and I agree... Don't chop the thread because it might be perceived offensive.

 
Same thing happened when COVID politics entered the Will There Be a 2020 Football Season thread. It got heated and it got partisan, but there was no way around it given the subject, which remained Nebraska Football. Interesting discussions, too.

Sometimes there's genuine overlap and you might as well let it roll, especially if the very future of Husker football turns out to be mired in politics. 

The readers who avoid the P&R forum can just as easily ignore this one thread.

Hey bud, try and keep up a little bit. This isnt new stuff. These “leaders” care more about getting the woke out of the university than keeping up with the top of the BIG in academia. They pushed out Green and Carter for being “too liberal”. CRT and DEI are what true Americans care about!
