Taylor Martinez Interview

Is there anything sadder then a former athlete saying how much better they would have been if "X" didn't happen? I think Taylor is still oblivious to how much his turnovers hurt Nebraska.

 
Holy sh#t. Can we start a forum just for Taylor Martinez? I am really sick of talking about this kid in the Husker football thread. He isn't on the team, so he isn't part of Husker football.

My point is I am sick of this tired argument. Taylor Martinez is gone. He is a former player. Not a current one. I was a fan of his, I rooted for him, and I hope he can play again someday. That being said, this damn thing is going to devolve into a Taylor versus any other QB thread that we have had a million times and gotten nowhere. He is gone, let it go.

You are comparing him to Devaney and Osborne? Holy cow, people.

No, we're pointing out how stupid the argument is that "He isn't on the team, so he isn't part of Husker football."

If you don't want to talk about Martinez, don't go in the thread. No one is holding a gun to your head.

No we're comparing how dumb that statement was. The kid was on the team last year, he did an interview, this thread was created to discuss it. You don't like it then don't open the thread.

Lol lets just quit the bitching about Martinez forever. He was talented but he just wasn't that great of a passer. Hopefully things work out for him in life.

 
Would have been a hell of a safety I hear. Woulda put me in 4th quarter and ran more Cover 2, Big 12 champs no doubt in my mind.

His throwing motion was uglier than sin but he was a pretty effective passer (damn near close to 70% his junior and senior year, and yes I'm rounding up). When history looks back to his time here, I think it's going to be a lot kinder to TMart than some on this board.

 
Myself, I think we should make threads bitching about one of the prime reasons Bo even got to #9wins and one of the statistical greats to boot for years to come.
