Former Husker quarterback Zac Taylor, the 2006 Big 12 offensive player of the year, said Tuesday he plans to spend at least the next few weeks in Lincoln around the team as he awaits a possible call from an NFL team in need of a backup.

The fact that the former Big XII OPOTY got cut from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (who really really need all the QB help they can get) got cut from the NFL is interesting.

Maybe college is really a "team" endeavor.
