He's slow, not strong, not very big, but he must have something

No, will he ever?

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

Startin DT

Commented on Harvey' physical attributes. big, good hands all this as he was referencing the camps and the possibility of a national combine for high school students that appears to becoming a reality. Basically without these extra camps, they never would have found Harvey.

Perhaps it's just me, but I have trouble envisioning a Tight End with 5.1 speed. Is that the correct 40 time?

If it is, I'm assuming he's being looked at as a blocking specialist rather than a route runner...

Callahan and company were very impressed so I would not put too much stock in those numbers. I do not envision us recruiting any specifically blocking TE's. the 40 time must be off.

Does the TE in the WCO really need to be that fast anyway? I remember Brent Jones was very successful and dont think he was very quick footed. No?

I don't think the TE has to be very fast in the WCO, most teams use them more as a possesion type of guy unless they are extremely talented like Gonzales or Winslow.

Big hands, impressed the coaches at the Big Red School summer camp. Needs to get faster, awfully slow for a DE, especially a TE where most people see him playing at. He was hurt his senior year and I've never seen film on him, so I can't really tell you a whole lot. Has some pretty nice stats for being hurt, though.

6. He could be a gem, and will most likely bring in DB A.J. Wallace, a likely 4 star guy next year.

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

Nah, he'll redshirt, might greyshirt.

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

Couldn't tell ya.

5) Where do you see this player in 2009?

RS Senior starting at TE.

The most important aspect of the WCO for a tight end is route running. Must be exact.

My guess is that Tomerlin will still play at TE, along with Harvey who will redshirt and should turn into a good player.

In a recent article on Rivals he ran a 4.98 and says he plans on playing TE at NU.

And I'd assume that the strength & conditioning program will shave at least a couple .10s of a second off, also. Looking better...
