TE play

It was great to see so much production out of the TEs yesterday. In fact more yards and TD catches than all of last year in one game. It helps open up the offense giving more weapons for the opposing D to worry about. I was very happy to see Herian get his TD catch. On his other two he did seem a bit lumbering as he got his YAC. Certainly not the same he was before the break but he has the experience to know where to be on the field and still has great hands.

I have thought the same about the TE's and what it will mean to put them into the equation. I thought about it all off-season. Now that if finally happened with Herian being officially back, I am really happy about having that extra weapon. It felt really good to see him get that TD and to see him calmly raise his arms in the air afterwards.

It was good to see the production. Herian did look a little slow, but he was able to get open, wide open and make some good yardage. Its great he has the first game under his belt.

Watch old game film... Herian has always had a lazy stride. Just like Jammal Lord, the man eats up alot of space with long strides. He wasnt running any slower than he was before the break. He did look a bit more hesitant in taking on tacklers though. He blocked EXTREMELY well though.

Herian looked great imo, especially with that juke move during the final two minutes of the first half. It will be interesting to see him continue to develop in this offense.

I don't know if I am a big fan of that four tight end set, but it is nice to know that we have four tightends that we can put in the game and produce.

He blocked EXTREMELY well though.
I thought so too. Is it just me or does he have a larger frame since last time he was on the field?
I had seen a couple reports saying he's spent ALOT of time in the weight room since his injury bulking up the upper body. I remember McKeon commenting about Herian's new "guns" earlier in the summer.

:yeah

I agree on the taking on tackles, but he's a big man who takes big strides.

Does anyone know what those two or three plays were that our TE's scored on? Maybe draw it up or something? I was never paying attention until Taylor threw it.

The TD to Philips was a playaction to the right, and J.B. came across the field and was open on the left. At least I think he crossed the field, he may have been on the left side. Now I don't remember.
