Oh Wow. I didn't know that Crawford was interested in coming to play football for the Huskers. What position was he interested in playing? His speed would of been a great asset for the team.

He was a QB. Dee Brown, former point guard at Illinois also considered NU for football as well as none other than Allen Iverson.

Crawford was a huge lose for Solich. He was suppose to be the real deal as an option QB -- a lot better than Lord.

Crawford is on the verge of superstardom as an outfielder.

He made the right choice - even if he does play for the D-Rays.

Yes Crawford was a member of the 1999 class at QB. There was also a TE out of Iowa about 10 years ago that Nebraska was recruiting but went high enough in the MLB draft that he went for baseball.

Unless he goes in one of the earlier rounds (what are there like 4000?) I don't think we'll have to worry too much. But I guess you never know where a kid's heart is. Hell....maybe we'll let him play baseball here too.
