Team USA Soccer

First we need to be consistent and beat the teams we are supposed to beat soundly. right now thats not really happening. Still it's better then what was happening right before Arena. Hoping we see more aggressive play in September daring the qualifiers.

It sucks that John Brooks will probably miss the rest of the hex. Omar looked ok at times in the Gold Cup but he's a right sided CB same as Cameron. They could both start, it'd just be a bit lop sided. Hedges looked real shaky at the Gold Cup. Can Ream or Besler be trusted? Any opinions as to the US's best option for the upcoming qualifiers?

Need Mexico to beat Panama tonight. We don't play Mexico or Costa Rica in the final 3 games so that's good. We were out worked, soft, couldn't complete passes, and the defense was yet again suspect. It took us 60 minutes to play with any urgency. The lineup seemed out of sync from the very beginning.

Cameron is good for at least one stupid arse pass a game that sets up a shot on goal.  I wish we would stop letting him bring out the ball and think Howard or any US goalie would notice this.  You could literally create a 10 minute hilight reel for other teams thanks to Cameron giving up the ball in the US half of the field.  Our defense really isnt very good and the youngsters coming up really arent good.

US tied Honduras 1-1. Really needed to capitalize on this game. Currently 3rd in the hex with 9 points. Honduras 4th with 9 also, but we're way ahead on GD. Panama sits 5th on 7 points and plays last place Trinidad and Tobago tonight.

Panama wins 3-0 to slide into 3rd place with 10 points and overtakes our GD by one. Our final two games are Panama and T&T. Panama has us and CR. Honduras has CR and Mexico. Win the final two and we take 3rd.

The way we're playing, though, getting three points from Panama is going to be a tall order. I don't know why, but we've looked sloppy and tentative out there the past couple of games--the way we looked before Arena took over.

I'm thinking it may be better for us to not make the World Cup and redouble our efforts/fix our issues during the downtime. It would be better than being boatraced out of Russia.

The US needs to make the World Cup. The bump in interest helps out the MLS and you throw a young star like Pulisic on national TV and there undoubtedly will be kids that want to be like him.

Deserve it or not I still think we get there. I have never been a fan of Arena, but for some reason I think he's got some method to his madness. I wouldn't shock me if we beat Panama by four goals.

Atlanta just had 70k+ in attendance at their new stadium. Broke a 21 year old attendance record. Fwiw the average attendance for an MLS team is ~20k.

Sorry for OT but I didn't know where else to put it.
