Tell me again about how the team plays better without Martinez

Now that Martinez's career is over, maybe it's time for the ridiculous level of butthurt exhibited by the fanboys in whose eyes he was some combination of Barry Sanders and Joe Montana to come to an end as well.

I can tell you something that's going to end if you keep that up.

I like Martinez. I liked the number of tribute threads that I saw in the last week or so focused on honoring him for his contributions to the program. I think some of the criticism of him was unfair. But I think the almost hysterical overreaction to any criticism directed his way was as well. And it would be nice if we could turn the page on all of that.

People all bagged on Keller, all bagged on jamal Lord, etc. Nothing new, just much more people on message boards now.

I don't think there was anything wrong with my post. You just seem to have taken it personally because you've been one of those most openly supportive of Martinez and dismissive of his critics. But I would respectfully suggest that's when you need to check your ego and separate your roles as a poster and as a moderator. Threatening to suspend or ban someone for simply disagreeing with you is pretty ridiculous.

I'd like to know this, too. Tommy had a rough game. He has some things to work on. But if this is his basement, good God his ceiling could be astronomical.

There seems to be this tendency to "hysterically overreact" (to use one of my favorite new phrases) to a quarterback's bad game. Tommy's had some trouble with his passing. He's played in, what? His sixth collegiate game? He'll get it figured out. The guy is fine.
