Yeah, depending on who the DC is that coach could either help with the DL or coach a different position group so we could have two DL coaches or a combo of Interior DL/Edge.

Hope that there’s something to Schumann. He sounds like a helluva good coach.

Well my sophmore year of HS the local papers wrote an article about how we had the heaviest staff in the region.  Had some large coaches but my dad was probably the lightest at 245

The information I saw didn't note that he hadn't been the actual assistant this year.  I appreciate the correction on that.

But I stated in my post above that we don't know what the title are going to be.  Which is what Callahan said.

I am not sure why there is angst on this hire.  This guy is just going to be an analyst.  He's not on the full-time staff.  This enables Simpson to get his start in college coaching under his former coach.  He will provide great contacts to the high school coaches in Florida, and can potentially back fill for Terrance Knighton if Knighton ever decides to leave NU to go back to the NFL or another job.
