Texas fires AD

Other heads will roll for sure.

Over. Basically no reason or benefit to fire him during the season - at least not for anything football related. But if things don't improve, the day after the season is over is a possibility. But this is still only year #2, right?

They will let Strong finish the year. He surrounded himself with ineptitude so no one could step in for him.
This is Texas we're talking about. They won a Natty ten years ago and their ego has been inflating every since. I'll be surprised if Strong sees the end of November at the Whorns. Logic be damned!

Texas looked very unprepared and unmotivated against ND. If things don't improve by the end of the year, Strong could be sacked. I think the firing of Paterson might deflect any outcry, especially racism concerns, if they fire Strong only after 2 seasons.

To be fair, Nebraska won a title 18 years ago and our ego is still a little inflated too

True enough. But these days I think Husker fans are a bit more humble than Whorns fans. That, and the title we won 18 years ago was our third in four years--the end of a pretty decent dynasty. Not a one-and-out deal like Texas.

You shouldn't try to qualify a sense of entitlement.

Well, I, for one, am enjoying this dumpster fire known as Longwhorn Athletics.

Mack Brown is available. I'm at least half-serious, not that it would be a good idea. But there are rumors for Jamail (their mega booster) wanting Brown for the AD job.
Isn't Jamail his attorney? I remember seeing something about when they pushed out Mack.
