Texas game

I know the networks can announce the games they want to pick up 12 or 6 days before the game, but do you think there is any chance of the Texas game being announced earlier than that?

Just trying to finalize plans.

Thanks

If they havent announced yet, then we are gonna have to wait. Unless NU and/or Texas drops a couple of games, it will not be 2;30 game on ABC, Michigan/Iowa already have that time slot. So it looks like our options are I believe 11am ABC or 8:15pm ESPN. NASCAR is on ABC at night, so that option is out the window.

If College Gameday wants to come to Lincoln, it will be at night, you can bet the farm on that.

ESPN already has a TBA Pac-10 game scheduled for the 8:15 time slot. Pretty sure it will either be 11am national coverage or 2:30 regional coverage. I can't believe ESPN took Wiscy-tOSU over Neb-Tex.

It's more than likely going to be on ABC at 2:30. ABC will air NU/UT and Michigan/Iowa and have the reverse mirror on ESPN. Both games will be national during the 2:30 time slot.

It's not that ESPN chose to take Wisconsin/OSU over NU/UT, FSN owns the second choice of Big 12 games after ABC makes their selection and they aren't going to pass up the NU/UT game if ABC decided not to take it on a chance that FSN will pass it up.

Damn. I would have definitely preferred the 8:15 time slot. Nothing better than a big night game in Lincoln (see 2009 OU game).

That 8:15 time slot sounds most appealing but I'll be happy with a 2:30 kick off. I'm still befuddled at how this game would not get first priority and have other games with less appeal just move their kick off times. It's not like anyone hasn't changed their game start times before, I know we have in the past.

There is a 9:15 EST, 8:15 CST slot on ESPN2 but I'm not sure they will air it at that time and on that channel. But you never know. All signs point to a 2:30 time slot.

Theirs always ESPN2 for the Pac-10 game, could also move the OSU/Wisc to ESPN2 to proceed the Pac-10 game. I believe they have done this in the past. ESPN/ABC has the option to move their telecast windows around to pick up a game if they want. Thats why I went this theory and the fact i dont think ABC/ESPN will mirror 2 games in the same region, but i could be wrong.

Just took a look at ESPN's tv schedule: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4903371. And it says the OSU/Wisconsin game is at 7:00 on ESPN or ESPN2 so I guess they could move that game to ESPN2 and have NU/UT on ESPN at 7:00 EST.
