Texas' Wins and Losses

I know this is related to Texas but I had throw a huuuuuge WTH???? when I read this. They have NU losing to Texas by 1 point (UT-10 NU-9)

The last time these two teams met: 2009 Texas 13 - Nebraska 12 Big 12 Title Game

These two teams hate each other on and off the field. With Nebraska leaving the Big 12 at the end of the year, this will mark the last time that the Longhorns travel north to Lincoln.

This is the last time the Cornhuskers have the chance to beat Texas in their own stadium—and they have the opportunity to ruin Texas' chance at a national title.

The Cornhuskers have one of the best defenses in college football. Last year they ranked No. 1 overall in points against.

But where they are great on defense, they struggle on offense. Last year the Cornhuskers ranked 75th overall in points scored and 101st in passing. They have to keep the Longhorn offense in check like they did last year if they want to win this game.

The offensive line needs to have a huge game for Texas to come out of this game with a win. But here this game will be decided by special teams, much like the Big 12 championship game. Marquise Goodwin returns a kickoff for Texas' lone touchdown, and a field goal in the third quarter gives Texas the lead.

Texas 10 - Nebraska 9

Texas Longhorns 6-0

And then, they throw this little gem in there in there...

The last time these two teams met: 2007 Kansas State 41 - Texas 21

This game has trap written all over it. Weird things happen when the Longhorns face Kansas State in the Mack Brown era. The last time they traveled to play Kansas State, they were beaten only by three (45-42).

The Wildcats have a good rushing game and a good defense. However, they do not put up a lot of points, and they are terrible at throwing the ball. They were just a .500 team last year.

However, like I said this has trap game written all over it since the final three games are at home.

And weird things happen when Texas plays Kansas State.

Kansas State 27 - Texas 20

Texas Longhorns 8-1

:WTH :WTH :WTH

(the guy is an obvious Texas columnist and is drinking some seriously orange kool-aid)

It's Bleacher Report. It's a blog. It holds as much water as a sieve.
Yea take it for what its worth, its a freakin blog. He pointed to KState about having a good defense??? I think that deseveres a :WTH . Although he does have a point about Kstate seemingly finding a way to beat Texas more regularly than Nebraska.

Personally I think Texas is about a 9-3, 8-4 team this year.

Texas will not be 8-4, and would have to try to lose that many games with all the recruiting they have.

But yeah it's freakin bleacher report

My bet - Texas loses 2 games this year. Both to the same team..... :bigredn:

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH :hookerhorns

Maybe 8-4 was a little bit of stretch, but no one saw us losing to ISU last year either.

Possible losses... OU, NU, A&M. TTech seems to give them fits and UCLA might be able to give them a game.

This is what caught my eye. They really think Texas has the advantage if the game comes down to special teams :WTH

First of all putting the classic trap game gives you a "see I told you so I'm a genius" opportunity but nobody cares if you're wrong.

Second...why not? Texas under mack brown has made a habit of often playing down to the level of their opponents. Look at the 07 NU game....that game mangino got fined for accusing the refs of making a poor call to give Texas a win....oh and the fact that the Ron Prince coached wildcats beat texas twice under his short tenure....
