The 2024 Election —What did we learn?

You are correct that I associate the left with Democrats. There are moderate Democrats, but both parties are too beholding to their extremes.
The GOP is definitely beholden to the extreme right. The Dems not so much. I say this as someone that is to the left of the Dems, and there are people far more left than me.

btw, i'm sure most have seen this graph circling around twitter or even on this board

A few things about this, though.

#1 - look at the Y axis. Instead of starting at zero, it starts at 50 million people. This doesn't make it 'wrong', but it makes it intentionally misleading when it should look something closer to this:

#2 - the worst offense is that this data is wrong, or is at least being inappropriately used in comparison to 2020. There are still a lot of votes left to be counted and added.

What's the point of all this? There isn't much of one, other than a continuous encouragement to check the claims you see online. Anyone who's not a moron knows there's no smoking gun here, and a non-misleading presentation of the data doesn't conclude any differently in regards to Kamala's sound defeat, but I'm guessing her total will end up well over 70 million when it's all over.

You know what makes it seem like the election was stolen?  When you are still trying to prove that it was not stolen...5 years later.

This is like telling your mom you didn't break a lamp that you broke...15 years later.

Just let it go.  It wasn't stolen.

Kamala and Biden both have said we need to accept the results and there will be a peaceful transfer of power. Different tone from the losing incumbent than last election...

I can promise you there won't be a January 6th this time around. You can't "well look the dems are worse than Trump" on this one man.

I’m just curious why Trump is so eager to accept these results when he has been saying we can’t trust them for the past 4 years???

Just curious @Archy1221, where are you at on Trump pardoning January 6th insurrectionists? Do you think thats the right move?

Everyone who had a weapon and killed with it should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Threat the unarmed participants as Antifa looters who broke into a store and stole all they could carry.

I’m super hopeful you continue to have this thought process for 4 more years as you can’t grasp the shift happening.

You realize I don't pick the Democratic nominee or the messaging for the party. Also hispanic people still mostly voted based on the perceived economy, but sure because they are Hispanic it's all about immigration for them

Because they're good for him?

The answer is always because it's good for him personally. I don't know why people need to make anything deeper or more complicated than that.
Absolutely correct.
It's like watching a game altering controversial call or non-call at the end of a football game.

You probably haven’t followed me much then because the aftermath of the 2020 election is why I didn’t vote Trump.  His inability to get over the election and his inability to qualm to riot
