Listen, I appreciate your service and sacrifice and the emotional toll it still carries with you. But I do resist the implication that it makes your political opinions more worthy or better informed. No dobut you have military brothers who agree with you, but surely you know there are many military veterans -- including my WWII vet father -- who went through the experience and came out in a different place politically.

The Trump family has been in the U.S. for six generations and not sent a single member to the armed forces. The guy you voted for has not made a personal sacrifice in his life and in fact has mocked the military and common soldiers repeatedly. There's a line of combat-tested Purple Heart-earning military commanders out there trying to warn you that the guy you voted for is not the man you think he is. Donald Trump is not brave, or moral, or God-fearing or patriotic. The military vets who have actually worked with the man have told you he's a vainglorious fool and a danger.

And all things being equal ----- they're not. A transgender woman using a woman's bathroom does not offset shifting the U.S. political system to a loyalty-driven autocracy. 

I'd recommend reaching out to your daughter and your brother/best friend. Those are relationships we can't afford to lose, You don't have to agree with them on everything, but you can start by seeing them as more than thin-skinned groupies.

A transgender woman is still a biological man regardless of how many knives and hormone therapy treatments he takes. It's flipping science. The US political system once was based on majority rule but the left libs won't accept majority rule. The left agenda is to silence the majority and allow the minority (too name a few: alphabet soup identity, green energy agenda's, open boarders, atheists, witches) to dictate policy. If the alphabet soups don't want to live in a majority rule country then gtfo.. go live in Europe.

As for your advice of reaching out. My Savior, Christ Jesus told us, Matthew 10:36 "and a mans foes will be those of his own household". You know nothing about me so please take your advice and put it towards someone you do know as I don't need a leftist telling me what I've done wrong. I'm not pretending to be something I'm not. I stand on principle. When someone tells me their fact I ask for proof and when they haven't any I laugh in their face.. hence a certain person posting nonsense regarding a recording and can't present it. It's a lie and liars use lies all the time.

No, not really.  We have always lived in a majority elects our leaders (or the majority of the electoral college).  Those leaders make decisions based on what they feel is best for the country.  Or, in theory that's the way it's supposed to work.

Sometimes, the best policy to pass is not what the majority would vote for if it were on the ballot by itself.  Now, those politicians then have to answer to their constituents and possibly be voted out the next election.  Or, the new law convinces more people to support it after it's bassed.

I'm not a Biblical scholar, but I think Jesus said a lot more about forgiveness, compassion and understanding than he did about standing firm against the foes in your household. Also, I never accused you of being something you're not. That was about the guy you voted for. If you demand facts, most posters here are pretty good at providing links. Most of your stated beliefs here lean heavily on passion, not proof.

Both DC estabishment outsiders.

Didn't have a choice after Biden.

Authentic.

I will say that even though I probably would disagree with AOC most of the time, I do respect  that her actions are consistent with her statements. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich were similar in that way.

We reviewed the conversation between you and 12/?$%, the one that directly led to your suspension. While we do not support/condone some of the rhetoric 12/?$% used, your response was determined to be over the line, which is why you received a suspension.

I can understand why you might disagree and I'm not absolving others of responsibility however you went too far. Moving forward, I suggest putting people you have problems with on Ignore, or using the Report function if you believe their post is in violation of board guidelines and then we can review. Fighting fire with fire isn't a reasonable course of action.

I am full agreement with that. For the most part I have taken a hands-off approach to moderation on this board. 

Let me make it clear. Going forward, sharing private messages on the public board will result in an immediate long-term suspension. 

If you have a problem with moderation take it to the moderators in a PM and not on the public board. 

My general rule is attack the message, not the messenger.

That would be John McCain. Who was running bomber missions over North Vietnam when he was shot down and seriously injured, then captured and tortured for six years as a POW. When his captors found out he was the son of a U.S. Navy Admiral, they offered John McCain his freedom. He declined, choosing to remain in POW hell with his military brothers.

Please explain to the class why that makes John McCain a loser, and why your own experience renders you more noble.
