The 4 finalists for chancellor

Maybe I'm missing the sarcasm but it sure seems some folks are confusing the chancellor job with the DLine coach position.
lol
Within a couple of years more people will know the D-line coach's name than whoever they hire for this job. Way more.
Agreed. Doesn't mean the DL coach is more important

Can someone give me some bullet points on why they hate Pearlman or why I should hate him? Is there rhetoric that it is at least partially because of Perlman that NUfootball is where it is?

Can we start this thread over and begin with a statement in bold letters that we are not looking at 4 finalists for the AD job - it's not even open.

All the hate I've ever seen about Perlman is based on football and the fact he was a lawyer.

I am a little surprised there isnt someone who has dealt with an institution with a large football program. The president hire was a good one giving his history with institutions with large football programs and he understands the importance of the programs. Im surprised that no chancellors with histories of dealing with large football programs are being considered.

Basically, he tried to turn our athletic department into one that was good to grewat across the board instead of being football + everyone else, as far as I understand it.

All four finalists were among the top 25 in the latest JebBush.com Chancellor rankings.

I mean, what do you people want! Quit living in the 90's! We can't compete for the top Chancellor anymore!

I don't know how Perlman was doing that? It was Bill Byrne that wanted success across the entire athletic department and let the football facilities fall behind.

I had to Google all of them...

so much for a "splash" hire
default_dunno.gif
who would be a "splash" hire?
I thought for a moment about adding the "sarcasm" emoticon, but I told myself to have some faith in the readers. Especially the people that are on here everyday and take part in the threads about every hiring decision with the posts of "I had to google" or "need a splash hire"

Oh well...I'll take my lap
