If only everyone just called more of the plays that work. I can't believe nobody's ever thought of that
Every capable offense is all about exploiting the weaknesses of the defense on the field. Case in point, how do you think we've been getting gashed repeatedly using the same plays? An offense doesn't operate in a vacuum, because the defense is able to pressure certain things and take away certain things, but they can't do everything at once. When they show you a look, you have a counter. It's a chess match. Playing right into the defense's hands is a losing proposition. Why run the plays that have already been sniffed out? Those are the ones that are doomed from the start.
The funny thing when people complain about offenses is they all want a simple one, just one that also happens to run every possible kind of play in the playbook.
