Tell you what, one of my (irrational) fears is going to another country and doing something stupid...so many other countries don't play games when it comes to crime.

I know your question was probably rhetorical, but according to wikipedia, they do not.  There are 32 countries, mostly Muslim, that use caning of some sort as punishment.  

I found it odd that one providence in Indonesia just recently began using caning as punishment.  I figured that by the 21st century, countries would be moving away from such punishment, not towards it.
