The Better America of our Dreams

Went to a funeral today of an old cowboy that touched a lot of people’s lives, including mine. He was the typical tough acting cowboy but had a heart of gold and was always helping people and mentoring kids.

I tip my hat to you buddy.

His ashes will be spread deep in the Sandhills of Nebraska.

Maybe I'm the only one that never knew this song was about MLK.
This didn't tip you off???

Early evening, April four
A shot rings out in the Memphis sky
Free at last, they took your life
They could not take your pride
In the name of love
In the name of love

Maybe I'm the only one that never knew this song was about MLK.
I didn't think it was only about him, but there's a very clear lyric in there about shots ringing out in Memphis and how they killed him but not his message, or something like that.
