Maybe the solution is to inform republicans that the Republic of Gilead in The Handmaid’s Tale is is in fact a fictional futuristic dystopian society and NOT a how to guide.  :dunno

How exactly does what the Mayo Clinic says pertain to no States having it banned?  Which is kinda what I said if you followed along from the beginning.  If

You don’t like the womens magazine I guess you can read these (or sports illustrated, whatever floats your boat).  You will probably notice that it isn’t banned, which again, is what I said earlier.

The abortion rate actually went down after Roe v Wade. Planned Parenthood did a lot more education and contraceptive work than they ever did abortions. Making abortion illegal didn't stop abortions then and it won't now. It will just come down hard on the poor and the brown skinned, and open a nightmare of legal and judicial enforcement on agencies that can't afford the workload. It's a moral problem, sure. It's also a social and logistical problem that going to fester immediately.

Did I say it had already been banned? No I didn’t. The SC ruling on RvW just became official. You have to have your head buried pretty deep in the sand to not realize it’s just around the corner. Texas, Louisiana, Idaho and other backwards places have already been working towards banning Plan B and IUDs, which we both and medical experts agree are contraceptives. Many states are also attempting to redefine human being, life, pregnancy, etc. so they can then label contraceptives as an abortion. I mean sure, if you want to be naive, you can continue to claim it hasn’t been banned yet but reasonable folks know it’s only a matter of short time with RvW overturned.

LOL….no.  We are in agreement FINALLY of my first statement about contraceptives not being banned by SCOTUS.  Which you have been arguing about and now finally agree also.

Oh, so you don’t agree or realize that many states will now make certain forms of contraceptives illegal?  And we’re supposed to pretend that you bring something  valuable to the discussion….. :lol:

Part of the deal is being able to recognize cause and effect. Any moron can figure out what is currently. Heck Google can do that job. It’s much more helpful if a person can figure out what their vote is likely to cause. Condolences, I guess.

For the sake of making sure we're dealing with correct info this isn't true, at least not immediately which is what the implication seems to be. Abortions ballooned after Roe V Wade, and have been on a steady downward trajectory for several decades now
