The defense made a good jump in confidence against Purdue

I really think the defense made a good jump in confidence and play yesterday. They just looked dialed into the game, made good open field tackles and looked like they knew what they were doing.

They finally turned the d-line loose and let them stunt a little and it really showed.

They just need to keep getting better each week.

Thoughts?

I know it was only Purdue. I agree. But that's the encouraging part. How much bitching to we do about Bo's teams playing down to lower competition? Yesterday the guys came out, jumped up and cruised while completely suffocating their offense from start to almost finish. We beat the sh#t out of them in all phases, which is what youre supposed to do to an overmatched team.

They are now doing what they are suppose to against lesser opponents, earlier in the year they weren't. That's progress. That's good. We aren't claiming them to be the 90's blackshirts or an elite D. But they are improving and deserve the credit.
