Again, I admit it, I am a fan of The View. I don't watch it all the time and never during the academic year (that is what I call the school year) because I am at school BUT I think what she is trying to say is that DC needs to "regulate" fake stuff?

You literally answered your own question. Same reason charges weren't brought against Trump by Mueller. The Supreme Court has now codified part of this into law where a President cannot be charged for anything under his "official" duties, which can only be changed by another SC ruling or an Amendment to the Constitution, so probably never.

We've given the President far too much power in our country and it's going to cost us either under Trump or some other authoritarian.
