You might as well pull everything besides the numbers off the field. WGAF what is on the field? If the Athletic Director allows it, then so be it. Its a truckin hashtag. It doesn't make my day any better or worse with it there, but the point is, they are tackling issues, that really aren't issues. So, I guess the logo in middle of the field needs to go too. It doesn't do anything for the actual game.it comes down to this. what is it doing for the actual game? nothing. get it off there.
different colored endzones are actually an innovation. helping players see where the endzone is.
You're really sticking with that answer?
Can't say as I'm sad to see the hashtags go. Also can't say I'm surprised to see the NCAA stick it's nose into such a trivial matter.

Worry about performance enhancing drugs, recruiting violations, synthetic pot usages and schools doing nothing to stop it (AU), and other major things like that.
I could care less about the hashtags. I even made fun of them a little when they put them on the field last year. I dont even use twitter. It gives me a headache. It's like facebook on heroin to me. But understand the concept behind it.

You could care less? How much do you care?![]()

oh, but what about the colored fields you ask? well i'm pretty sure that grass fields are green. the field has to be A color. if you are going to remake grass, you have to make it SOME color. Why would they say that you HAVE to imitate the color of grass?

The concept behind hashtags, in the social media world, like twitter and instagram, is an easier way to search for things, and see how trendy some things are more than others. To me, with being part of the younger crowd, thinks this is a way that the NCAA is trying to stop colleges from advancing with technology and today's society. I use both twitter (not so much), facebook, and instagram. I don't use hashtags, unless I am posting on the other two. Its a faster and easier way to speak out to others who don't follow you, but is interested in #NebraskaFootball, per say. I am not explaining the concept to you accountability, just generally speaking#BOOM and #BOOM
This is going to be a discussion that has very little to do with the hashtags themselves and mostly about the NCAA and their motivations for worrying about such issues. Just another example of major systematic issues with the NCAA as a sanctioning body.

That's me. i dont get it. I dont want to get it. I havent used facebook in 3 years. I dont get into that stuff. But i'm also smart enough to understand how quick the world and society is advancing in regards to technology and this social media stuff. It dont make me any difference whatsoever if it's on the field. The concept behind hashtags, in the social media world, like twitter and instagram, is an easier way to search for things, and see how trendy some things are more than others. To the older crowd, its an annoyance, and quite gaudy. Its all understandable, and I am not a huge fan of it being on the field, but its today's society and a trend. Banning hashtags shouldn't be a focus of the NCAA. How does this hurt them or effect them at all? If it doesn't effect them, then why worry? Its nonsense, and annoying they are focusing on BS, rather than, whats right in front of them.
You win with that point about the ncaa having better things to do.Did you really just disagree with yourself by agreeing with yourself.it comes down to this. what is it doing for the actual game? nothing. get it off there.

That's impressive. I commend you sir. :worship
I cant legitimately disagree with you that it's pointless and does nothing for the game itself. But be honest in answering this. Does or doesn't the NCAA have far more important things to worry about in collegiate athletics.
Holy cow. Just a few months ago they let Miami completely off the hook for botching an investigation that literally shouldve buried the Miami football program (deservedly so I'll add), but yet they had no problem dropping the hammer on USC and Ohio St for the transgressions of 1 and few. This is my point in this whole deal. The NCAA is a waste. They are mindless hooligans making very important decisions and are obviously too chicken sh#t to use the common sense necessary to tackle important issues and do the right thing.
hahahaBecause if there's one thing the NCAA won't stand for, it's making money off of the unadulterated beauty of amateur athletics.
