The Fighting Erstad's vs. The #16 Hoosiers of Indiana

lol... we have one and half starting pitchers... Kubat and Deleon/Bummer

This team hasn't shown they deserve the privilege of post season play.

6 up, 6 down for the huskers...

1st inning Slegger only threw 6 pitches

2nd inning one batter (Headley) made him work for the out... Where is the plate discipline...

I think Silva is afraid to pitch to these hitters.... Our pitchers are intimidated by Indiana's bats and is why Bummer threw more pitches in the first inning alone then Indiana's pitcher has the entire game.

That said, ground out on a 2-2 pitch.

Darby to lead off:

1st pitch strike

2nd pitch up and outside

low, 2-1

foul, 2-2

foul, 2-2 (5 pitches total)

foul, (6 pitches)

ground ball out (7 pitches) acceptable at bat by Darby

Peters batting:

1st pitch strike

2nd pitch strike (swinging)

ball, 1-2

ball, 2-2

pop-up, (5 pitches)

Lubach up:

1st pitch ball

ground ball hit, first of the game

Sang up:

1st pitch strike

low, 1-1

swinging strike, 1-2

swing K, (4 pitches total)

Better plate discipline, did produce a hit but this is sad... Seniors not doing their part.

We have one (only 1) pitcher that is even comparable to what Dave V was able to recruit. Kubat is the only pitcher with stuff capable of throwing at the D1 level.

Ouch. 7-0. I was really hoping for a win here and looking for a sweep of Minny. If they don't come back and win this game a sweep of Minny next is crucial.

I'll take DeLeon in a Sunday role over Brian Rodaway. DeLeon's not a Friday guy, but with Kubat out most of the year, they didn't have much choice. The larger issue is confidence and the loser mentality cultivated by the previous staff :|

10-2 final :hmmph Not totally indicative of the weekend, Saturday's game was decided by a bad call at third by the umpire and then a questionable decision by Will Bolt. Pretty close game otherwise.
