The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The worst - Curenski's ability to stay on his feet :bang
I was just hoping he would not hurt himself
At one point it was reported during the game that CG was receiving texts that he should change his cleats.

Okay :WTH is up when players are checking texts DURING a game?
Better question. Who brings their phone to the bench? I can't see the Pelini Administration allowing such a thing. :dunno

If I remember right, it was the equipment manager/guy/dude getting the texts...no clue who that is, but it wasn't CG who got the texts.

The Good for me was Lester Ward getting a touch. Not only because I'd like to see him be able to contribute more, but also because it brought back memories of '95 when Jay Sims would get in as our fifth back. He was still better than most backs in the Big 8.

You are so right. I also remember when Roger Craig was a frosh an 4th team I-Back and he led the nation in rushing for 4 or 6 weeks.

Then when Craig was the starter, a young man named Mike Rozier came in and beat him out of the starting spot and Craig was moved to FB. That was a mean 1-2 punch.

Not quite. He had 31 yards total as a frosh.

Craig finished 6th in the country in scoring as a 3rd stringer as a sophomore, which may be the very impressive stat you are thinking of. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB...;ATCLID=1137822

He might've been 4th string at one point, but Redwine was the leading rusher early in the season, so there's no way Craig ever lead the nation.
