The great big thread of Bucky

I have to say it...Suh, Caputo and now Dennard...Bo certainly grooms fine young men.
I wish I could say something about Wisconsin players, but don't know of any that are relevant. Whomp whomp

But on a real note, he made a bad move and he'll pay for it (literally). Just hope he learns and moves forward.

There's absolutely no reason to ban Bucky. He brings a lot to the board.

Besides, all football programs have their warts. We've had a few players get in trouble with the law, and Wiscy had an assoc. AD that liked the wiener. We all have our shortcomings. :D

Trolling? The kid punched a cop in the face just months after punching a Wide Receiver in a Bowl Game. Couple that with another of Bo's graduate's antics (Suh) and I think one could raise legitimate questions about Bo's ability to temper the passions, instill discipline and improve the nature of young men. You can say, "Not the coach's job" or "Bo is no longer their coach" but to my understanding the development and growth of young men is an important reason we have the sport. You can disagree but the question remains.

Oh and just throwing this out there but I'm willing to bet that if a Nebraska fan raised the question he wouldn't be getting such a warning so props on that one Knapp...
You were warned. :dunno
Honestly....you make a solid point Bucky...however, Bo has been able to temper and discipline the majority of these young men throughout their careers as Nebraska football players. At the end of the day, Bo can only do so much and try to instill a positive philosphy and belief system upon these guys. Ultimately, it's up to the players to uphold Bo's teachings and to express or not express them throughout their life. This incident isn't even close to being remotely on Bo's shoulders. This incident is solely on Dennard. In life, people will all make decisions they regret. Now, let's hope and I am already assuming that Dennard regrets his absurd actions. It all boils down to self-responsibility. It's a huge aspect of anyone's life.....

Aaaaand.....holy moley! I reached the 1,000 post threshold! Where's my damn prize!? lol chuckleshuffle
(Throwing Confetti!) Congratulations sir!!! And your prize is................(drum roll please).................you get to continue to post and enjoy this fine board ;)

According to the local fish wrap...........each round dropped is worth approximately $300,000...

Be careful where you point fingers. In this article Wisconsin had 9 players in trouble with the law while Nebraska only had 4. Alabama had 5. So can we also say, 'Brent certainly grooms fine young men.?' We could but we won't because at the end of the day it's the individual's choice and their character that makes the difference. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/the_bonus/02/27/cfb.crime/index.html

Wait, so was he banned?

Banning Bucky is ridiculous- Bo's antics and temper on the sideline has caused way more headaches than a half a$$ drunken punch on a police officer ever will. We make ridiculous personal fouls on the field at the worst times. yes, i agree. We have a discipline problem and if anyone cares to read my post prior to hiring Bo, they would see that kind of baggage was going to follow him. Hard to recruit all saints on a football team. a lot of these kids are guilty of believing their own press clippings at times. Hopefully this type of behavior doesn't become a pattern for these players like Mr. Philips. Move the thread to woodshed if it's making your blood boil. I can't believe the rose colored glasses on here sometimes. Go Huskers

Bucky has what reason to blame Bo for this? Im sure no Wisconsin players have ever gotten into trouble right? Lets face it, every program has its players that get into trouble. The coach can only say and preach so much about being a stand up person, but in the end these MEN make their own choices. No reason to flame up the board and blame Bo! Thats ridiculous! MEN make their own choices. Blame them, not the coach. He cant babysit them and make choices for them.

Is Bucky banned, or what? I don't think there has been a clear answer given.

If he has been, I'm curious to know what the protocol is for making a decision like that. I, for one, enjoy reading his posts more than hearing about middle aged men stalking players and their girlfriends at local coffee shops and sporting events...

Many "HUSKER FANS" have made much worse comments about Pelini and his players than Bucky ever has.

I would like to 1st and 2nd a ban hammer for Badgerfan.

Guy is a troll pure and simple he just tries to do it in a nonchalant way so some people will stick up for him saying he is not a troll..

Zoogie has said he was not banned, sounds like a vacation instead. but a husker fan saying it is different than an opposing fan saying it to instigate a response and that is what he was doing imo.

My question then is this, obviously when this thread was created on 8/30/2011 Bucky wasn't even a member yet (Bucky's profile says he joined October of 2011), 6 months later was the first post in an "anti-Bucky" thread. Just curious what the problem would have been. I enjoy this site because of good nature ribbing for comic relief and I believe Bucky to be the best at it. Sorry Cy and TuffTiger, but Bucky has you beat! Hopefully some people didn't turn Bucky off to HuskerBoard.

There are many frequent contributors that I would rather see gone, and if there is a way to make it happen...
