Seconded to all of 'em.

Some of those really need to be considered. Mandarich, regardless of his performance in the pros or whether his college ability was due to 'roids, was a beast. Emtman - what a cryin' shame about his pro career; injuries killed it.

I was shocked to look over our list and see that Rozier and Crouch had not been listed.

I think we should also include Deion Sanders (Miami). Neon Deion should have a chance against these guys.

I'll second Neon Deion. He played for Florida St. though.

How about Sean Taylor? The guy was a bruising safety and always seem to come up with big INT's, quite aq few for touchdowns.

We can put those four in the mix and see if they earn a seed. I would hate to see a Husker Bias in this - it's not just about the great Huskers, but the great players from all over. Wistrom, The Brown Bros and Fryar are all worthy names, but I wonder if a lot of teams can't put up those kinds of names, too.

I'm thinking off the top of my head that there have to be about ten linebackers from Penn State over the past 30 years that we could put in here, but names are escaping me right now.

Also, rookie mistake on Deion. I know he's from FSU. Doh!

I'm going to let the nominations run through Friday, then I'm going to try to seed these guys over the weekend and start the first head-to-head battles Monday.

Does anyone want to volunteer to help seed this group?

As always...the OL and DL get the short end of the stick:

I'm putting up:

Mike Ditka

Bob Brown

Carl Eller

John Hannah

Alex Karras

I'd nominate Dan Dierdorf too except he's a crappy announcer....
