The illegal touching/fumble call

If we get an illegal touching and bat the ball in the air....does a hypothetical interception not count?

You play through the play. It's not dead till the end of the play.

It's an excuse to question the call and say it's not right especially when one doesnt know how it works.

 
You either take the penalty and nu retins possession or else you take the result of the play that happens without the penalty. Which was a fumble. Ball to Minnesota. It's not hard to figure out

 
This has always been the rule. Nothing to see here. This is no different than any other "in play" penalty on the offense. The play doesn't stop at that point. The penalty is enforced (or declined) after the play is over.

 
They said after the game that if you jump from out of bounds to catch the ball in bounds then the play in is blown dead, if you go out of bounds come in bounds then make the catch its a live play

 
Forget the technicality.

We committed a penalty and we fumbled so no matter how you spin it we didn't deserve to be rewarded for that.
