The Masters as brought to you by CBS...

It happens every year about this time, CBS starts promoing the Masters Golf Tournament. My problem with this is, they almost make it sound like a religious event. Its a golf tournament. What do you think?

Hey, it's like the Superbowl of golf. Except at the beginning of the season. Everybody--well, golfers anyway--are stoked because it sort of kicks off the season and a long cold winter.

I'm going to Monday's practice round and taking the wife for her first trip. It's an amazing thing to see first hand.

A tradition unlike any other.

The Masters IS a religious event. I hope the good lord blesses me with a pilgrimage there one day :worship

Depends if you're a golfer or not, I am and love to watch the Masters. It is a religious event for me and I would love to make it to Augusta someday for a round.

I'm a huge golfer and do watch the Masters but my problem is how pretentious the Masters is. The TV networks can't call the rough, the rough, they have to call it the second cut. And then they limit the amount of TV coverage. Believe it's 3 hours for the first 3 days and then 4 hours on Sunday for the final round. Just don't understand their logic.

I honestly, and don't get me wrong, the course is very pretty, but it's definitely not the best course out there. I have seem much more elegant courses.

OK... I give up. BRI and HF118 are right. I love the Masters too. But I agree they are somewhat pretencious and I just get tired of the holier than thou attitude commercials.
