I have to say that one of the best NFL running backs of all time got almost no recognition, or hype.  In fact they almost never even talked about him while he was racking up enough yards that only Emmet , Sanders, Sweetness were ahead of him all time.  Sunday trivia:  who am I talking about?  Dont cheat!

Yeah I know he is in the HOF  but at the time they hardly talked about him

Are you referring to Curtis Martin? If not you should be. I was never a Jets fan but I always liked watching him play. A friend of mine told me about him in the early 90s. Never really saw him play at Pitt but was told to watch him once the Pats drafted him. 

 
I found it weird even at the time, here is this guy putting up excellent numbers, and yet on no highlight reels.  We all have Emmit Smith highlights and Barry Sanders highlights, burned into our brain, but what is your favorite Curtis Martin highlight?  Unless you are diehard Jets fan, you probably can't think of one.  Yet here is the guy that has more yards than LT ,Thurmon Thomas, Eric Dickerson list goes on...
