The New Peso Position

I'm trying to understand the role of the new peso position. Is whoever plays peso basically a linebacker & a defensive back at the same time?

Essentially, yes.

If you want an example of the Peso, go watch the highlights of the Holiday bowl. Nebraska was primarily in their Peso especially on obvious throwing downs.
