The offense I'd like to run is _____________

Ive been tooting his horn for months. Once again, Ill post this.

Al Borges

Once again, Im amazed that someone doesnt snatch this guy up. I think its because hes goofy looking.

However, Im beginning to think he may like his job and location now, and is on the backside slide towards retirement. Either way you slice it, the guy has a proven track record of taking what he has and putting out productive offenses with it. He plays to the strengths. Oh, he's a great QB coach as well. Some of those names will pop out at you that were under his wing. Maybe did nothing in the league, but sure as hell lit college on fire. Tony Graziani anyone? Boise St right before they made the jump? This guys sneakily been a lot of places.

Power I with the 2 wing backs. It's a twist not unsimilar to OU's diamond formation. T.O used to run it with alot of success. With the talent that we will have in the backfield this would be the perfect offense to showcase it. chuckleshuffle

I vote for an offense that looks like a four year old randomly pressing buttons on NCAA for Xbox...

first down: fake spike pass

second down: HB toss for -30 yards

third down: field goal attempt

fourth down: N/A

6 guys in the backfield is against the rules.

the oregon spread will go the way of the west coast, the gulf coast, the third coast, etc. Wait and see when they actually have to throw for their lives against the barners when they find out their run gimmicks wont scare a stacked with hitters auburn D. It has some elements that might stick around...but dammit shawn watson plays with enough 'smart' stuff now, and it hangs him up. Pro style, hit the playaction, run at will for at least 4 yards...open the pass with the run from a heavy set, close the game with the run from any set. Thats what its gonna take in the big ten. Remember...ohio state stopped this same ducks offense with better running back talent than the ducks have now in last years rose bowl.

1. Ditch fluffball/WCO and never look back. The allotment for horizontal passes & "quick-as-snails" qbs running the option is reduced firmly to three plays a year (garbage time only).

2. If Wisconsin can steamroll good opponents NU can too. Only better. Make it happen.

3. Replace SW/Gilmore four nano-seconds after the bowl game. Time's a wasting.

4. A smashmouth FB is now on the recruiting high priorities.

5. An "identity" to stive for is targeted and the direction is written in stone. Get on the bus or stay home.

all righty then, we know how you feel! good thoughts....i have little hope for any of this happening... :nutz

The key to an offense is not the plays, but the play calls. Sure the plays are important, but if an OC can't look at his plays and run exactly the opposite of what his tendencies are at times, the offense most likely is going to fail.
