If you are on the playoff committee, is 38-14 enough if you suffer a loss later?

As a coach, I take no chances. Injuries happen, whether it be sooner or later. OSU with Braxton would blow them out by 60 if they had a chance to...

That's my philosophy and what I want to see. You can't assume we win out, you have to prepare and assume we lose one, and that every win / margin of victory matters.
According to Barry Alvarez he won't be focusing on margin of victory as much as relative O and D performance. Similar but different.

While Alvarez said he doesn't place much stock in margin of victory, he does pay close attention to a statistic on relative offensive and defensive performance.

"In other words, let's say a team scores 50 points four games in a row, but the teams they're playing give up an average of 45," Alvarez said. "And then you've got someone who's played a very difficult schedule and they're averaging 21 points a game, but the teams they're playing only give up an average of 10 points. There's a huge difference there.

First. Hope Mitchell is okay.

Second. This has been an embarrassing 2nd half. If this Nebraska team expects to play with and beat Michigan State, they better get themselves checked, because the way they are playing this second half we'll be lucky if we don't get blown out be 2 or 3 touchdowns.
