*** The Official Northwestern Wildcats Game Discussion Thread ***

On the bright side, if it wasn't for penalties, poor tackling, dropped balls, our o-line being pushed around, our defensive backfield not coving well, poor playcalling on o and d, a missed field goal, and a qb that completes 40% of his passes; we are doing quite well.
Way to stay positive.

This is horrible....this staff must be on the verge of losing their jobs if you're looking at it from the view of an administrator. What happened to the team that started the season....manhandled Miami and spanked Fresno?
IMO, they have the feelers out there.........No way can they be satisfied or not be prepared if the apparent "collapse" continues. Again, not just this game, but year 7 of the same mediocre perfomarmace, lack or preparation etc....

On O we're taking turns making drive-killing mistakes. Penalties cancelled out two plays that should've had us at 2nd and short. Bell had a whole season's worth of drops in one half. If he catches the ball we're ahead now. Moore killed another drive. Tommy missed on what should've been a td or close to on that screen. Brown missed a chip-shot, the score should be tied.

A possible wellspring of optimism is that Northwestern carries a lengthy and inglorious history of frittering away leads in the second half..........
