More arm tackles to start the half, great
He did say "we didn't execute."didn't here Bo say the magic word "execution", signs of good things to come?
How does it look with only MSU and NW? We've padded the stats with our early games...Beck's offense is just fine. We have the plays and the playmakers to make this offense work.
Total Offense - we're 10th in the country
Passing Yards Per Completion - we're 6th in the country
Rushing Offense - we're 5th in the country
Scoring Offense - we're 12th in the country
We HAVE the plays, we HAVE the playmakers. Beck's offense works.
What we lack, at the most inopportune times, is consistency. Kenny Bell doesn't drop passes - unless it's a critical time. Tommy Armstrong doesn't miss a wide-open receiver - unless it's a critical time. Ameer doesn't get tackled for no gain - unless it's a critical time.
What this team seems unable to do is rise to the moment. It takes them forever to get out of their own way - and as good as Beck's offense is, that's how bad his preparation is.
Everything works. Year Seven, we're still battling the demon between our own ears more than anything. And that's what sucks.
No.Side note: anyone seen santos out there?
If you include the receivers? Is Gregory the only one who knows to raise his arms?
I mean, if those 6 were caught instead of dropped he'd be sitting at 14 for 16. He can't do it all on his own. His receivers are going to have to catch something at some point."I don't get this. Tommy's mostly been on the money all night. There's been at least 6 drops."
We're talking about short passes that should be automatic but always are off target. His long passes are better than the short ones....very weird.
Yeah it was working too well, needed to mix it upHave we stopped trying for the return?
