Apparently you're not listening too carefully. Our defense is missing tackles, giving up 20 yard+ plays with dulling regularity, and our offense is drowning in penalties and an anemic run game. I'm not throwing up the 'fire Bo' signs, but holy hell, I'm telling you that this game reminds me a hell of a lot of Ball State last season. We all know how the rest of that season went.

I am listening carefully so calm down! This is what I was talking about in the off-season. Husker fans are so damned impatient and want things to turn the corner immediately. This is a young inexperienced team that has changed it's defensive scheme. You can't learn that so damn quick that you can answer anything a offense has. This team is going to go through growing pains so get squared away with that.

Growing pains and loosing to san jose state are two very different sories. Last week we had growing pains. This team is significantly WORSE than western michigan, and we're not having growing pains, we're slitting our own wrists. I mean I agree, I didn't think we would win an NC or anything, but this performance against sjs is never acceptable.

It's an intellectual shock, not an emotional one, that Nebraska is getting out played on both sides of the ball at home by San Jose freakin' State. If they come out on fire in the second half I might have reason to hope, but I drank too much Kool-aid last season not to call it like I see it ever again.

I think this game is a kind of 'coming attractions' for the rest of the season. Bo needs to get a few classes of his guys in before we see progress. I can't believe what I'm seeing. Just. Can't. Believe it.

I will say I agree with you here. You have to know what your players are capable of before you know what they can and cannot do. It's a damn good thing for us that we have these three opponents before we start our Big XII play opens and VT.

Nebraska football fans who remember when Bob Devaney came to Lincoln are hard to please because they remember how quickly the quality of play turned around. So far Bo doesn't look like that kind of coach, but then not many are.

It's understandable and I think all of us are feeling the same thing. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the rushing problems? We were supposed to have the best rushing attack in the Big XII?
