*** The Official UCLA Game Discussion Thread ***

Man, this game is stressful. Might drive me to drink. Even more.

That UCLA troll came in the other day and predicted that all of this would happen, and the Husker faithful drilled him and talked some hard talk, saying how our D would hound their QB, dominate them, etc............

everything the troll said was 100% spot-on.
There were a few of us that told all of the blowout-predicting folks to curb that s**t, but no one listened.

The lack of hubris in our fanbase is disturbing. We're going to end up like Texas fans if we don't watch this.
I was afraid the offense looked good last week because the SMU defense was bad. I thought the SMU offense was fairly good, so I had some confidence in the Defense. Boy was I wrong.

My God I hate the SEC, and I hate we look like the Big East not the Big Ten
No, trust me. You/We very much look like the Big Ten.

It's the price we pay for fielding college football teams the proper way...you know, without paying off players or their parents?

I still maintain the SEC is one disgruntled former player away from having to rescind the past decade or so of success en masse.

our defense is so owned at every position. I don't even think a cosgrove defense was this bad and then on a Pelini team- oh, the shame

I just think it's preposterous that anytime someone says a negative word about the current state of our program, they get shot down by all of the NU nuthuggers. I was suspended last year for saying how bad the team looked. Why aren't we unable to vent our frustrations with the team without being penalized for it? It just seems like the mentality around the program nowadays is, "Say something nice, or don't say anything at all."

Our defense in the second half better be Moss, Valentine, Curry, Zaire, Santos, Seisay, Jackson, Ciante, SJB, Osborne, Cooper

The only thing that I can think of to explain that first half performance by our defense is that Pelini was testing out different coverages to see how UCLA attacked it, and he is saving his Man-Blitzes and Zone-Blitzes for the second half.

Papuchis and Bo need to hit Louisiana HARD and get all of these leftovers that LSU/Bama leave behind. Abdullah is a prime example, and Alonzo Moore will be another. We have no speed on defense at all.

OK, I switched from beer to tequilla, and I just realized that we are tied. What team will make better halftime adjustments? Last week both NU and UCLA came out in the 2nd half and stoned the opposing offense.
