I think Pelini is gone after this. An NCAA rushing record for a single game. A team that can't throw the ball...one guy with an X on his back that you had to account for and he goes for 400+?

There are over a hundred FBS football programs that play roughly 13 games apiece....and yet we are the team setting records for ineptitude every season. No one doubts the talent we have on this roster, which means there is one place to point the finger.

I'm not angry...I think I quit being angry about this kind of performance at some point because it's no longer a new feeling. But when the broadcasters are beside themselves with how bad the team looks and calls out the coaching staff for putting an embarrassing product on the field, things have gotten unmanageable.

No, we are not a dominant program and we have not really been nationally relevant since the beginning of the century, but the fans of this program deserve something much more. People have called us an entitled fan base, and they're absolutely right. We are entitled to a competitive football program. We are entitled to being able to watch our team play in high profile games WITHOUT being unequivocally embarrassed. We are entitled to having a coaching staff that prepares our athletes to succeed on the field.

Great post. When the announcers are calling out the coach for lack of fundamentals and lack of accountability for guys making the errors, its time for a change.

52-17. What a freaking joke we are. This is exactly why we were the 2nd lowest ranked 1 loss team, and why we were dogs against a lower ranked team.

I'm sure not a freaking thing will happen, and we'll be able to live through this same garbage for years to come.
