Blame Pedersen? For What?

How soon you forget, he fired a guy, the guy that had run our program into the ground. After what TO accomplished in his career here, particularly the last 5 years, a group of high school students should have been able to go out and recruit, yet somehow Solich turned us into one of the most unathletic teams in all of the BCS conferences.

Pedersen had balls and fired the guy which NEEDED done.

Very rarely does a new Head Coach come in and keep the same staff that is currently here, it almost never happens. Cally was hired and brought his staff.

4 years into the transition, our offense is becoming what everyone hoped. we are getting players every year. His DC hire has turned out to be a bust. As the CEO of Husker Football it is cally's job to fix it. If he chooses not to then we have issues.

If Cally doesnt fix the problem then we can turn our attention to pederson.

Up to this point, blaming pedersen is lunacy. He brought in a very good Basketball Coach. Our Volleyball team is sick, many of our other sports are doing extremely well. Coz just happened to be the wrong guy for the job. We fix it and move on. If you dont believe pedersen will force something to change then imo you are nuts.

Do i agree with some of the little things that pedersen does, no. however, its not his job to care if i agree. to say he is doing a bad job is laughable.

If yo are going to give credit for the v-ball and b-ball teams they you must also give credit for the decline of the baseball team. I like some of the things Stevie's done but not all. Callahan appears to be a great tactician but I have questioned if his assistants can coach. Something is missing on the football team both offensively and defensively. The O line and D line are not where they need to be. The D as a whole is not where it obviously needs to be. I still like BC, still see the positives of SP but I also see the negatives of both. This team does not play with much emotion. Pull Keller out and the offensive looses much of the emotion it has. I heard a good comment on the radio yesterday. Something to the effect of "Coz couldn't light a fire in a bbp grill" implying that he can't get any fire into the defense.

I wish we were back to those terrible 10-3 seasons. Thats right i forget you could predict what would have happend if Solich stayed another year.

By the way The former Volley ball coach arranged to hire the one we have now not Pedersen.

true, his focus as he has said, is having a little fun, at the expense of the program, which cally supports!

I am red, through thick and thin, I am red. I am not on a bandwagon to Fire Everyone. Although some changes need to be made. I am not giving up on Big Red. I am however posing a question. More of a theory, looking for opinions.

When will the politics that were brought here by Steve Pedersen stop ruining Nebraska Football?

AT WHAT POINT DOES SOMEBODY (HARVEY PERLMAN?) SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! WERE ARE THE REGENTS? WERE ARE THE BOOSTERS? WHERE ARE THE CHECKS AND BALANCES?!?!?!?

Nebraska is a laughing stock!

Pedersen hires Callahan, who hires Jay Norvell, John Blake, Scott Downing, Shawn Watson, Kevin Cosgrove, Ted Gilmore, Buddy Wyatt, Joe Rudolph, Bill Busch, Dennis Wagner, Phil Elmassian, Randy Jordon. (Some no longer here), ALL FRIENDS.

ALL UNDER QUALIFIED BY WHAT USED TO BE NEBRASKA STANDARDS.

BIGGEST LOSSES: Bo Pelini, Turner Gill, Ron Brown. ALL QUALIFIED NU COACHES.

IS NO ONE ELSE CURIOUS ABOUT WHY NOBODY GETS QUESTIONED ANYMORE.

Callahan was a 4th choice at best, gives his friends important positions, changes our offense (completely unnecessary), then throws our players out on the field unprepared. With an overly complex system - offense and defense.

The point is not, "who is or is not qualified". The point is not my political views. THE POINT IS: THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN NEBRASKA SPORTS, FOOTBALL IN SPECIFIC THAT NOBODY IS QUESTIONING. Eveybody is mad, but nobody is asking questions!

My post is not meant for commenting, it is a statement. WHERE IS HARVEY, THE REGENTS, THE BOOSTERS?

How are Pedey and Cally getting extensions -- EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVEN'T PROVED ANYTHING!

I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD FIRE CALLAHAN, I DON'T WANT THIS PROGRAM SET BACK EVEN FURTHER. I DO FEEL THAT COSGROVE MUST GO BY SEASON'S END. In any REAL profession - if you fail at your job (which Coz has over and over - at Wisconsin and Nebraska) - you get FIRED.

2. Work out like MOST College teams - Full pads 2-3 days a week. Back to Basics.

3. GET THE SWAGGER BACK. Confidence --> Where did it go?

4. Get back in the weight room for the love of Tom! We get overpowered.

Pete Carroll was the 4th or 5th choice for USC. Not bad.

Two weeks ago this board was full of "Restore the Order"!. Now its full of people like you pointing out the ship is taking on water so lets just punch a whole in the bottom!

John Wooden coached 17 years before he won his first NCAA basketball NC. Then he won 10!

Its way to early to call for firing the coaches.

You lost your ENTIRE D-line last year for Christ sake. We lost our entire backfield year before last and our running game sucked all year.

By the way, linebackers play real well when they have great tackles in front of them, poorly when they don't.

Your recievers can't seem to catch passes. Last time I looked, that wasn't a coaching problem. Our receivers couldn't catch passes until this past week, remember the drops against you guys. Nobody here was wanting to fire the new OC.

You call this a statement? This is a rant. Sounds like you politicize everything. Its just a sport for crying out loud, not some Bourne Identity football conspiracy. "I can remember the last seven plays our team ran, but I don't know how I can do that." Sheesh.
