The RED socks with the white N

As already stated they are not socks lol.. they are tights. Thats why you see in some of the pictures they dont go down and cover the feet.

Mouth Gaurds are from Battle sports. My sons wear for basketball the ones like Gerry and alot of the others wear. Red and white with a N on them.
Why does anyone where a mouth guard in basketball? It's a non contact sport
You ever taken an elbow to the jaw?

Basketball ranks way up there as the most non-contact sports. Hand slapping & pushing doesn't make it a contact sport.
I as well as my sons love their good looking teeth. Having played basketball there are plenty of chances to get hit in the mouth and mess up a grill.

For those that have never played before.

1. Diving for loose ball on court / heads can hit

2. When rebounding in the paint / some times elbows get thrown around / also coming down on a shoulder

3. Player reaching in for ball / can result in getting popped in the mouth

4. Long 3 point shot / ball take funny bounce off rim and hits player in the mouth.

There for this simple little mouth piece can do wonders.

They aren't tights either. Lol they are compression pants. Designed to help the athlete recover faster as they offer a slight 10mm/Mercury compression to help lactic acid make its way through the body and not pool in the muscles. NBA players wear them all the time under their shorts. Some guys had white ones on, some wore red. I loved the red. Made them look like the 90's teams and reminded me of a current day Stanford or bama.

After all, when you look good you feel good, and when you feel good you play good.
Hmmm...and so many players waste all that time on strength and conditioning when they should be at the salon.

I thought it was awesome to see some players wearing some red tights with the home uniform, seriously, this should be a uniform thing every Home game. Also just realized and completely forgot there was Nebraska text above the numbers during Crouch's time.

Same thing, essentially. That's what people mean by tights. You can call them whatever you want - in high school we all called them spandex, and now kids call them compression shorts/pants but they're the same stuff. They just definitely aren't socks

Whatever it is, it was a cool look and a nice nod/throwback kind of thing that probably the current players may not even be aware of.

Yes, grandpa I do.
It probably IS a generational thing...like the difference between John Wayne and Justin Bieber as a benchmark for manhood, or Bruce Jenner vs. Caitlyn Jenner being an inspiration.

That being said, if I want to watch a competition where looks are important, this grandpa is probably going to go watch a Miss Universe swimsuit competition and not a bowl game. But to each his own.

Red socks were awesome. Not a fan of having an 'N' on them though. Keep it nice and clean.

I would actually love to see them wear just a red jersey and plain white pants, no stripes . Think Penn state but in red. much like the 2001 version
This is the correct answer.

Nobody looks to Bieber for manhood.
