If you can read this (and I’m sure many won’t due to predetermined preferences) without seeing numerous glaring similarities to another, that would be an absolute miracle of delusion.

Yes he’s trolling about Canada. Greenland??? Well multiple Presidents have set eyes on Greenland so I wouldn’t doubt Trump wished he could find a way to get it under US control. Panama Canal??? Maybe we shouldn’t have ever given control back. It I don’t see how things change with that even with Trumps bluster

Yes, of course this is definitely an option.
The way I see it, there are 3 options and none of them can be reduced to simple juvenile trolling.
1- Like you said, it could be indiscriminate babbling.
2- It could be another in his master class of negotiating skills, throw out some wild threats with the endgame being to get them to cave in to lesser conditions.
3- He is being dead serious.
With Canada, I’m really not sure which it is. It is probably the wildest of the three stated objectives. But the Greenland obsession would rank right with it and he has made it pretty damn clear he is actually serious about that one.
The US controlling the Panama canal actually makes a bit of sense imo.
