What? Tik tok most certainly should be banned. 

It's a Spyware app subjecting it's users to Chinese propaganda, collecting data, viewing text messages, and sending it to the Chinese government to build data profiles of every user so they can later target them with ads to sway their opinion on whatever they want. We're talking about a government actively committing atrocities against the minority Muslim population in their own country. 

Saying Tik Tok has a right to operate is just flat out unserious. But then again, it's absolutely fried the brains of young, first time voters, and caused them to vote for Trump in massive numbers. 18-20 year old men have been blasted by Chinese propaganda and are now collectively more conservative than the state of Wyoming.

With all of the social media apps available, I’m very much okay with the one tied to communist China being banned.  I’d imagine a ton of our military use TikTok, tik tok tracks locations.  The Chinese can literally watch our military move around the world by studying data.  It’s also easy to create China sympathizers as China flexes its muscles around the globe.

I got into a fight with my wife this weekend because she was b!^@hing about the ban and accused the govt and FB for making China look worse than it is.  I laughed in her face!  I had no idea she was serious…but she is a TikTok user….

What I think is really messed up is the people that were going to flock to RedNote (didn’t ever hear of that until my wife was complaining about free spreech).  People are pissed at US govt for stifling ONE app, so they go support a nation that literally imprisons its people for going against the Communist Party.  People are dumb….

First time voters aged 18-21 voted 43 points more Republican than first time voters in 2020. Young men aged 18-21 are now one of most Conservative demographic in the country. If they were to form a state, they would have the partisan lean of Wyoming.

Having 2 boys that fall right after this group and right before 22, 17…I have a slight bit of authority on this subject and I can tell you COVID and the far left movement towards equity instead of equality had a much higher impact on the male youth vote than tik tok.   At least in the segment of population I’ve been watching closely for years now.   Granted, it’s the Midwest so take it for what it’s worth.  
 

The tik Tok videos and Instagram reels really aren’t “news” even if that’s what the youth wants to call them.   All I’ve seen having the boys run me through a few random days shows stupid prank videos, baseball videos, dude perfect type videos, etc…..

Yeah, it wasn't just brain fried 16 year olds making that claim. It was people who know a lot more on the subject than you. If it makes you feel better to downgrade genocide to atrocities, have at it. But take comfort that your preferred authoritarian narrator won this particular messaging battle.
